Microneedling, radiofrequency and a needle-free mode on one platform — operated under DHA-licensed medical supervision at Smart Care Polyclinic, Deira.
Vacuum-assisted fractional radiofrequency · Micro Derma Pro
What it is
Micro Derma Pro is a vacuum-assisted fractional radiofrequency platform. Gold-plated microneedles create controlled channels in the skin and radiofrequency energy is released from them at a set depth, from 0.1 mm to 4 mm. The vacuum is the part that distinguishes it: the handpiece lifts the treatment area before the needles enter, which holds the skin at a consistent distance from the cartridge so the depth that is set is the depth that is delivered.
How it works
Depth, energy and needle count are set for the area being treated, so the same device handles delicate skin around the eyes and thicker skin on the body. A chip in each cartridge tells the machine which needle type and depth is loaded, so the settings and the hardware cannot disagree. The controlled channels and the heat together trigger the skin's own remodelling, and new collagen builds over the following weeks.
OPTION 1 · WITH NEEDLES
With needles
Fine needles enter at a set depth and release radiofrequency underneath. The deeper option — used for scarring, stretch marks and laxity.
OPTION 2 · NEEDLE-FREE
Needle-free
Radiofrequency through the surface, no needles and no recovery time. Used for tightening where the skin surface is better left alone.
Which one you have is decided at the consultation, not before it — and the two can be combined across a course. If needles are the part putting you off, say so: the needle-free mode is a real option rather than a lesser version of the same thing.
How a session runs
Contact
The cartridge is brought into full contact with the skin.
Vacuum
The treatment area is drawn up into the handpiece, holding the skin at a fixed distance so the depth stays consistent.
Entry
The 0.18 mm needles enter smoothly under a stepping motor — thinner than the 0.3 mm typical elsewhere, which is what reduces the trauma at the surface.
Radiofrequency
Bipolar RF is delivered from the needles, heating the tissue in a controlled way at the depth that was set.
Remodel
Collagen and elastin production follows over the weeks after the session rather than on the day.

WITH NEEDLES
Vacuum RF microneedling handpiece
The main handpiece. Vacuum lifts the skin, gold-plated needles enter at a set depth between 0.1 mm and 4 mm, and bipolar radiofrequency is released from them. A sensor reads the cartridge so the machine knows which needle type and depth is fitted.

NEEDLE-FREE
Thermagical RF handpiece — the needle-free option
No needles at all. Radiofrequency is delivered through the surface of the skin for tightening and contouring, with no channels created and no recovery period. It runs at 5 MHz or 8 MHz, and switching frequency changes how deep the energy reaches — which is how one handpiece covers both the face and the body.

COMFORT
Cooling handle
Used during and after the session to calm the skin and settle redness. It is not a treatment in itself — it is what makes the treatment more comfortable and reduces flushing afterwards.
Two kinds of needle
Insulated needles
Energy is released only at the tip, so the epidermis is spared and the heat goes to the dermis. Less total energy than non-insulated, but more targeted — generally the choice where the surface needs protecting, which includes darker skin tones.
Non-insulated needles
Energy is released along the whole needle, heating the upper and lower layers at once. More total energy delivered, and the option where the surface as well as the depth is being treated. Which of the two suits you is a decision made at the consultation, not a preference you need to arrive with.

Who it suits
Considered for acne scarring, enlarged pores, early laxity, crêpey texture and stretch marks. It is a course treatment — a plan is set at consultation rather than sold as a single session, and the needle-free mode is discussed where the surface is better left alone.
What to expect
Redness on the day, usually settling over the following day or two, and pinpoint marks where the needles entered. The real change is gradual: collagen remodels over weeks, so results build across a course rather than appearing after the first session. A critical review of 42 randomised, split-body or blinded studies found radiofrequency microneedling has been studied most for skin rejuvenation, acne scars and stretch marks — the indications it is offered for here.
