Questions people ask
Do I need to fast before a blood test?
It depends on the test. Cholesterol and fasting glucose usually need eight to twelve hours with water only; a full blood count, thyroid and vitamin tests do not. You are told which applies when you book, and it is listed on each package page.
Do I need a doctor's referral for blood tests?
No. You can book a lab panel directly and come in for the sample. A doctor reviews the results, and where something needs acting on you are contacted rather than left to interpret it yourself.
How long do results take?
Most routine results are back the same day, and hormone or specialised tests can take two to three working days. You are told the expected turnaround for your specific panel when the sample is taken.
How do I get my results?
By email, or collected at the clinic. Signed-in patients can also see them in their account. Results are released to you, not to anyone else, unless you have asked us in writing.
Are my results confidential?
Yes. Results are medical records held under UAE health data rules and are not shared with an employer, a family member or anyone else without your written consent.
Do you do pre-employment and visa medicals?
Yes, and the testing is done on site in Deira. Bring photo identification, and ask at reception which specific tests your employer or visa category requires so nothing is missed.
