Routine Health Checks and Screening Blood Tests in Dubai
A health check is the visit where nothing is wrong and the aim is to keep it that way: a GP consultation, an examination, blood pressure, and a blood panel chosen for your age and risk, with results explained rather than posted. What it is
What a check should include depends on your age. In the twenties and thirties: blood pressure, weight, a blood count, blood sugar, lipids and vitamin D, which is deficient in most people tested in the UAE.1 In the forties and fifties: the same plus HbA1c, kidney and liver function, thyroid, and the cancer screening that applies to you. After sixty: everything above with more attention to heart risk, bone health and function.

Results lead to a plan, not a printout. A normal set is a baseline for next year. A borderline result means a lifestyle change and a repeat in three to six months. An abnormal result means treatment, or a referral to the internal medicine specialist, who reads the 360 package results as standard.
What is not included
UAE residence visa medicals are performed only at government-approved medical fitness centres, not at private clinics, and Smart Care does not issue pre-employment or fitness certificates. The GP can manage any condition a visa medical finds, and a health check here is the right follow-up to an abnormal result there.
Fasting and timing
For fasting glucose and some lipid profiles, eight to twelve hours without food. HbA1c and most other tests do not need fasting. Morning appointments make it easier, and the clinic tells you when you book.
