What is IV Revitalife?

IV Revitalife delivers fluids together with vitamins and minerals directly into the bloodstream. The gut can only absorb so much at once — given into a vein, a nutrient reaches levels swallowing it cannot.1

Where it clearly helps is a demonstrated shortfall. Correcting a proven vitamin D deficiency follows published clinical guidelines, and that is ordinary medicine rather than a wellness claim.2

Where it is less certain is everyone else. A placebo-controlled trial of a classic vitamin infusion found both the infusion and the placebo improved symptoms, with no significant difference between them.3

That is the whole reason this starts with an assessment, and why bloods are requested when the picture calls for it. If you are well nourished and your results are normal, expect a doctor here to tell you a drip is unlikely to add much.

How it works

A doctor reviews your history and symptoms, and orders blood tests if a deficiency is suspected. A cannula is placed in a vein in the arm and the infusion runs over roughly forty-five minutes while you sit in a treatment chair. The formulation is chosen for what the assessment found, and a nurse monitors you throughout.

How an IV infusion works: after assessment and any blood tests, a cannula in a vein delivers the chosen formulation straight into the bloodstream over about forty-five minutes, with a nurse monitoring throughout.Illustration by Smart Care Polyclinic — a schematic of the mechanism, not a photograph of a patient. There is no guarantee that the result will be the same, as it might vary from one individual to another. Who performs this

Every plan starts with a consultation. Which clinician you see depends on availability and on what the assessment finds.

What is in each infusion

We use Revitalife preparations. Every ingredient and dose below is taken from the manufacturer's own prescription form, so you can see what a drip contains before you agree to one. Which preparation suits you — or whether one does at all — is decided by the doctor after assessing you.

Anti Stress and Antioxidant

A B-complex and vitamin C preparation with magnesium, zinc and trimethylglycine. The caffeine is a separate 1 mL vial given into the muscle rather than added to the drip.

Every infusion starts with an assessment, and what you are given is prescribed rather than picked off a list — with blood tests first where a deficiency is suspected. Sessions are given at the clinic under medical supervision. Prices are fixed and confirmed at your visit; the doctor recommends only what suits you. All prices are exclusive of 5% VAT.

Expected results

People who are dehydrated often feel better within hours. Where a real deficiency is being corrected, the improvement follows the correction and may take a course. If your bloods are normal and you are well nourished, a doctor here will tell you that a drip is unlikely to add much — and that conversation is part of the service.

Who it may suit

May suit people recovering from illness or long-haul travel, those with a confirmed deficiency, or anyone struggling to maintain hydration. It is not appropriate for people with certain heart or kidney conditions, and persistent fatigue deserves a diagnosis rather than a drip. Where iron is given, it is given under supervision — the safety profile of intravenous iron preparations is the reason for that.

Side effects & aftercare

Individual responses vary — the team explains everything before treatment and is one message away after it.

  • Mild bruising or tenderness at the cannula site is the most common after-effect.
  • Drink normally afterwards; the infusion supplements hydration, it does not replace it.
  • Rarely, people react to a component of the mix — you are monitored during the infusion for exactly this reason.
  • Report any redness, swelling or increasing pain at the cannula site over the following days.

Frequently asked questions

When there is a genuine absorption problem or a real deficiency, yes — it bypasses the gut entirely. If you are well nourished and your bloods are normal, the honest answer is that the difference is small, and you should expect a doctor here to say so.
